Sobieszewo Island is one of the few parts of the Baltic coast where you can always find amber stones.

Amber stone or “the gold of the North” is a fossilized Tertiary tree resin. Its’ name comes from the golden colour of the material or from the value it have already had in the ancient times when Roman merchants were making their way to the Baltic sea to buy cheap amber and then sell it for the price of gold on the South.
